General Operating Instructions

Enter Tail Orientation, Material, Application, and Quantity (default is 1).
Enter Tubing OD, Tubing ID, Coil Length, Coil ID, Tail A, Tail B, Tail Radius A, and Tail Radius B to the corresponding input fields.
The descriptive outputs will provide the calculations for the coil to be manufactured, as well as additional information and suggestions.
A zero (0) input value can be entered for tail radii A and/or B.
The zero (0) input values are required for choosing tail orientations 03, 05, 06.

Notes:
All input values are in US measurements.
A fraction decimal conversion chart is located at the bottom of this page as reference.
When entering values for Tubing OD and Tubing ID, the minimum wall thickness can be no less than .008"
Coil ID should be entered in 1/8" (.125") increments. However, you may enter any other Coil ID required for the project.
For a greater expanded working coil length, you can increase the length of the coil and/or Coil ID.
The relaxed Coil Length should not exceed 38" when choosing tail orientation 01, 02, and 03 or 44" for tail orientation 05 or 06.
Tail configuration 04 is dedicated to heat exchange applications and should not exceed a overall length of 44".
For example, building a coil from left to right as follows. Tail A, plus Tail Radius A, plus Coil Length, plus Tail Radius B, plus Tail B.
All coils with an overall length (end of Tail A to end of Tail B) greater than 44" require extended lead times.
Standard finished tails are 3". A finished tail is tail radius plus tail length.
